DESCRIPTION:Join us for our February luncheon on February 19 as we continue the 2026 luncheon series with a timely and important conversation\, paired with valuable networking opportunities.\n\n\n\nYouth Retention is a pressing issue across Manitoba as employers\, municipalities and educators work to attract\, retain and engage the next generation of talent. At this luncheon\, we welcome Mark Frison\, president of Assiniboine College\, for an insightful discussion on how education\, workforce development and community leadership intersect to shape long-term economic growth.\n\n\n\nCanada's longest-serving college or university president\, Mark has led Assiniboine College for more than 15 years\, following presidential roles at Cypress Hills College and Great Plains College in Saskatchewan. His career also includes senior economic development work in Nova Scotia and extensive community leadership across Manitoba.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMark will deliver a forward-looking keynote exploring strategies to strengthen youth retention\, align education with labour market needs\, and create communities where young people choose to build their futures.\n\nRegister early and join business and community leaders for a meaningful conversation that will help shape Manitoba's workforce for years to come.\n\n\n\nConnectEd: Extend the Conversation\n\nFollowing the February luncheon\, the Brandon Chamber of Commerce will hosts it's second-ever ConnectEd\; a speed dating -style event delivered in partnership with Brandon University and Assiniboine College\, designed to strengthen connections between students and local industry.
