DESCRIPTION:We are THRILLED to announce that our next Show & Tell speaker series event will be Writing Historical Theatre: A Conversation with Playwright Steven Elliott Jackson and Director Kenneth Jackson!\n\nThey will be discussing the upcoming play A Stage of Her Own about an imagined meeting between Nellie McClung and E. Pauline Johnson.\n\nThe year is 1899 and a young woman has just viewed the most wonderful performance in a small Methodist Church in the community of Manitou\, MB. Sneaking into the dressing room of the performer\, the young woman\, the bold Nellie McClung\, is determined to meet this incredible woman\, but tonight she has definitely met her match in the incomparable E. Pauline Johnson.\n\nIn A Stage of Her Own\, playwright Steven Elliott Jackson\, imagines a post performance conversation between two iconic Canadian women\, whose mark on this country exists even today.
