Join us February 17th to listen to Ian Seunarine, Chair of Supply Chain Manitoba and Director of Sales and Business Development of the Duha Group, speak on current supply chain issues and how we can rebuild business in a post-pandemic world.
Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Ian Seunarine's focus has always been on the needs of our community, through business, education and volunteer services.
Receiving both his undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Arts) and graduate degree (Masters of Natural Resources Management) at the University of Manitoba, he continued to learn through various continuous education programs such as the Purchasing Management Association of Canada (now called Supply Chain Canada), Extended Education (through the University of Manitoba) and various Lean Certified Programs (where he now hold a yellow belt in Lean Processes).
Ian's current role, as Global Director of Sales & Business Development for The Duha Group has provided him a tremendous opportunity to work with a worldwide customer base and engage in today's opportunities for his partners. This includes transitioning transactional sales and marketing to a digital platform, re-designing and re-creating new product lines/ services and working jointly with partners toward solution-based concepts.
Having a background in Supply Management (for over 20 years) has provided him with a unique perspective to offer his clients as he builds partnerships with them, as part of an extended supply chain. This has never been more prominent than now; with the challenges we all face with the pandemic.
Throughout the past ten years Ian has also been involved with various educational associations through instructing different courses for students of all levels. This includes working with the University of Manitoba's Certificate in Management program, International College of Manitoba, Supply Chain Canada and University of Winnipeg (Professional, Applied, Continuing Education - PACE) and soon (in 2022), Assiniboine Community College.
Volunteering has always been important to Ian, and he was fortunate to be able to hold the post of Logistics Manager for the Canadian Red Cross Disaster Management Team (Western Division) for 5 years. In addition, he was involved in coaching community soccer for 20 years. Today, he is grateful to hold the position of President for the Manitoba Institute, Supply Chain Canada.
Please be reminded that proof of double vaccination is required to attend this event.
