Meet the Speakers
Treena Slate, MHA, BN, RN
Chief Executive Officer, Prairie Mountain Health
Treena Slate was appointed CEO of Prairie Mountain Health in March 2024, bringing over 30 years of extensive healthcare experience spanning frontline clinical care, education, public health, and executive management. A registered nurse by profession, her diverse leadership background includes roles as Chief Nursing Officer and Director of Clinical Operations. Treena holds a Bachelor of Nursing with distinction from the University of Manitoba and a Master of Health Administration from the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy.
 
Recently, her crisis leadership was on full display following the catastrophic flood at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre. She successfully co-coordinated the rapid emergency evacuation of dozens of patients, established immediate localized triage clinics, and spearheaded the massive multi-agency recovery effort to safely return 24/7 emergency services to the community. Known for her authentic, collaborative style, she remains deeply committed to building resilient, patient-centered health systems.

Mr. Darcy Bell
Chief Executive Officer & Comptroller, Brandon Clinic Medical Corporation
Darcy Bell Raised in rural Manitoba, Darcy Bell has always maintained a strong connection to community and a commitment to giving back. An alumnus of Assiniboine Community College, Darcy continues to support his community through involvement in local sporting activities, volunteering as both a coach and manager for his children’s teams.

Professionally, Darcy is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with extensive experience in healthcare administration and business operations. He serves as CEO of Brandon Clinic Medical Corporation and Director of Operations for LibreMD, an Manitoba-based electronic medical record company. Darcy is also a member of the MyHT Brandon Steering Committee, contributing to initiatives focused on improving healthcare delivery and supporting the local community. Whether through professional leadership or community volunteering, Darcy is passionate about building strong organizations and making a positive impact in Manitoba.
