Keynote Speaker: Lieutenant-Colonel Jack Nguyen

Originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Lieutenant-Colonel Jack Nguyen joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 2006 as an Armour Officer with Lord Strathcona’s Horse (Royal Canadians). His distinguished career includes operational deployments to Afghanistan, Kuwait and Iraq, and command of the Canadian Training and Assistance Team in Lebanon. He has also held key planning, instructional and liaison roles with Canadian, British and U.S. military formations. Lieutenant-Colonel Nguyen holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Manitoba, a Master of Defence Studies and an MBA from Athabasca University. He and Melina live at CFB Shilo with their children Amelia and Beatrice.
