Demystifying the Machinery of Government
Join Us Thursday, March 27 at YMCA Brandon in Brandon, Manitoba
Machinery of Government refers to the structures and process of government and how they work together to deliver results to the public. In this course, you’ll learn how government is structured and what it means for non-profit, and non-government organizations, how government makes decisions and how to navigate government bureaucracy. Understanding the machinery of government can support effective communication, relationship building and identification of funding opportunities with government. Structures and navigation will primarily focus on provincial and federal government however will apply to municipal as well. The course includes an analysis of one case study and access to program materials.
This course is for:
- Non-profits, OREs and charitable organizations that want to learn how government works which can help them navigate government to support effective communication, advocacy, and influence policy and program delivery
- Public servants who work in the public service that also want to learn how government works from a birds eye view.
- Others that are just curious and want to develop their own understanding of how governments work.
