Westman Aphasia presents first ever virtual workshop - Let's Talk Aphasia
Aphasia is a chronic communication disorder affecting language skills including reading, writing, talking, and comprehending. And most people - including health care professionals - may never even have heard of it. Aphasia's main cause is a stroke but it can also result from dementia, brain tumour, or other progressive brain disease.
Our workshop will help you:
· Understand aphasia and its causes and effects
· Learn tools and strategies to improve communication with and for individuals living with aphasia
· Refresh any previous learning you may have about aphasia
