Her Seat At the Table - Panel Discussion
Her Seat at the Table
Press Release – For Immediate Release
Her Seat at the Table (HSATT) is ready to inspire more women to run for office with their next event in March.
HSATT is excited to host a panel discussion on Tuesday, March 3, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Lorne Watson Music Hall at Brandon University. A panel of experts will lead an educational and eye-opening conversation for women who are interested in running for political office.
Previously planned for February, the discussion has moved to early March.
The event will feature an interactive conversation led by a skilled facilitator, who will guide the discussion and host a Q&A session. Doors open at 5:00 p.m., with networking opportunities available prior to the discussion beginning at 5:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided. Children are welcome to attend, and age-appropriate activity packages will be available.
This event follows the successful HSATT open house held in December, which welcomed a large turnout of community members of all ages and backgrounds interested in learning more about HSATT and what it means to run for civic office. HSATT volunteers, City of Brandon staff, and several Brandon City Councillors were present to answer questions and engage with attendees. Stay tuned for what HSATT has planned next.
Her Seat at the Table (HSATT) is a grassroots-led initiative. Its mission is to support and empower women to run for seats on Brandon City Council by providing the training, mentorship, tools, and community needed to lead with confidence and purpose. HSATT aims to break down barriers, amplify women’s voices, and build a stronger, more representative Brandon for all.
