Duties and Responsibilities:

The Customer Service Assistant position provides essential front-line administrative and clerical support for the daily operations of the Healthy Living Centre. Key responsibilities include greeting and assisting clients, processing memberships, bookings, and rentals, collecting payments, and performing accurate data entry and financial reporting. The role also involves opening and closing the facility, monitoring usage, addressing safety concerns, and restocking merchandise. Additional duties include responding to client inquiries, supporting special events, maintaining records, manuals, and procedures, and assisting with equipment setup, client orientation, and reporting or performing basic repairs, along with laundry management and inventory control. Strong organizational, customer service, and communication skills are required. Other relevant duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will possess a minimum Grade 12 plus a one-year Office Administration Certificate or similar program and have at least 3 years’ directly related experience. A comparable combination of education and experience may be considered. The ideal candidate can manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision, is a motivated, adaptable team player who thrives in fast-paced environments and delivers exceptional customer service while handling frequent interruptions. Strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to take direction, and a proactive, self-starting approach are essential. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a professional and respectful manner is strongly preferred. Candidates must be available to work a variety of shifts.

*NOTE*

This is a full-time 6-month term position to February 27, 2026. The work schedule consists of a combination of day, evening, and weekend work. Skill based testing may be required. This position is subject to a Child Abuse Registry Check and Criminal Record Check. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. These checks must be submitted in accordance with the Policy in order to maintain employment.
