Director of Joint Services – Town of Carberry / RM North Cypress Langford
The Director of Joint Services is a senior operational leader responsible for overseeing the effective delivery of jointly managed municipal services, facilities, and programs. This role ensures the efficient management of infrastructure, staff, budgets, and stakeholder relationships across multiple service areas.
Reporting to the CAO, the Manager plays a key role in strategic operations, workforce leadership, policy development, and community engagement, ensuring services meet the needs of a growing and diverse community.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Oversee operations of municipal facilities including recreational spaces, community centres, library, museum, campground, transfer station, cemetery, and fire department.
- Develop and manage annual operating budgets in collaboration with the CAO and finance team.
- Recruit, onboard, supervise, and evaluate staff across multiple service areas.
- Liaise with Council committees, boards, user groups, and community stakeholders.
- Contribute to long-term planning for municipal services and infrastructure.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- Minimum Grade 12; post-secondary education in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
- 5+ years of leadership experience, ideally within municipal, public sector, or multi-department operations.
- Demonstrated experience in staff leadership, HR practices, and team development.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial management, and grant processes.
- Experience working with boards, committees, or governance structures is an asset
